Majak Electric is a full-service electrical contracting and appliance repair company serving commercial, institutional, industrial and residential customers in the Three Hills and surrounding counties (Kneehill, Starland, Wheatland, Mountain View, and Red Deer). Chester Majak started his apprenticeship in electrical contracting in January 1978.

Majak Electric was incorporated by Chester and Donna Majak in 1993. As a family-run business, it was started in response to requests for specialized electrical services in and around Three Hills. After Chester’s dad retired after 30 years in the appliance repair business, Majak Electric started an appliance repair department to pick up the slack.

Chester Majak, Owner-Operator

Chester started his apprenticeship in 1978 and is now a certified Master Electrician and a Red Seal Journeyman. Along with his wife, Donna, Chester owns Majak Electric. On a daily basis, he works on job planning, co-ordination, oversight, as well as keeping everybody busy and the clients satisfied. One of his favourite projects was working on the PLC changeover at Korova Feeders Ltd. In his spare time, Chester enjoys crossword puzzles, reading, watching TV, and working out. He also likes to vacation with extended family in Cincinnati, New Jersey, and Florida.

Tanya, Office Manager, Appliance Repair Dispatcher

Tanya enjoys meeting new clients, and she has been building public relations skills since 2013. When she’s not working, she likes to hike, run, bake, and do crafts. She also likes to plan overseas missions trips. She volunteers at an orphanage in Kenya and likes to vacation in places where the temperature is above 20°Celsius. She is a married mother of two children and a yappy dog.

Norbert, Journeyman Painter Red Seal, Labourer

Norbert has learned a lot since 2005 by the electrical projects he has encountered. Some of his memorable projects include working on chicken barn installations and the Alberta Skydivers dormitory, but he assists with a variety of jobs whenever needed. Norbert is married and the father of two grown boys. In his spare time, he volunteers at a thrift store managed by his wife. Norbert also likes to fit in a round or two of golf whenever possible and he enjoys vacations at Radium Hot Springs or Silver Creek campground.

Cameron (Cam) Fearn, Journeyman Electrician, Red Seal

Cameron has 15 years experience in commercial, residential, and light industrial in both rural and urban settings. One of Cameron's most exciting jobs was working on Beiseker Airport properties. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, working on audio/computer projects, and spending time with his immensely fat Scottish Terrier, Molly. He also likes to vacation in Amsterdam and Idaho.
